ThermoWeather Terms of Use
These terms describe the ThermoWeather service and subscriptions provided by tgstartup. The licence to use the iOS app is governed by Apple's Standard End User License Agreement. These service terms supplement that agreement and do not replace it or override Apple's applicable terms or your mandatory consumer rights.
1. The service
ThermoWeather shows third-party weather forecasts and brings together temperature values from external Bluetooth sensors and manual entry. The acoustic method and household-signs guide provide experimental or approximate room-air estimates only. The iPhone itself does not expose a sensor that measures room-air or body temperature in degrees.
3. ThermoWeather Plus subscription
Plus removes in-app ads and unlocks the features identified as Plus in the app. The purchase screen identifies the selected plan, included benefits, subscription period and full price in your local currency. Available plans are weekly or yearly; availability, prices and introductory offers may vary by region and eligibility. The terms displayed by the App Store for your purchase apply. A weekly equivalent shown for a yearly plan is a comparison, not a weekly charge.
Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase, except when a free trial applies. For an eligible trial, the purchase screen shows its duration and the full price and billing period that follow. Unless cancelled, the trial converts into a paid, automatically renewing subscription. Do not assume a trial is available unless it is included in your confirmed offer.
Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Renewal is charged according to Apple's purchase terms and the applicable plan price. To avoid a charge after a trial, cancel at least 24 hours before it ends. Manage or cancel through iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions, or Apple subscription settings. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. Cancellation stops future renewals; access lasts for the remaining paid period under Apple's terms. Cancelling a trial may end trial access immediately.
Use “Restore purchases” in the app with the Apple Account used for the original purchase. Apple handles billing and refund decisions; submit eligible requests at Apple Report a Problem. Price changes and any required notice or consent are handled through the App Store. We do not receive your card details.
4. Ads and third-party services
The free tier shows Google AdMob ads; Plus removes them. WeatherAPI.com supplies weather data and forecast map tiles; OpenStreetMap supplies the base map (© OpenStreetMap contributors). Weather layers show model forecasts, not radar observations. Third-party availability is outside our control. Data handling is described in the Privacy Policy.
5. Acceptable use
No reverse engineering beyond what law permits, no circumventing subscription gates, no unlawful use, no scraping of third-party weather data in breach of their terms.
6. Intellectual property
The app, its code and materials belong to the developer. You receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app on Apple devices you own, per App Store rules.
7. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The app is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the maximum extent permitted by law. To the same extent, our aggregate liability is limited to the amounts you paid for the subscription in the preceding 12 months. Nothing here limits non-waivable consumer rights or liability that cannot be excluded by law.
8. Termination
You may stop using the app at any time by deleting it (an active subscription must be cancelled separately in Apple ID settings). We may discontinue the app or individual features with notice via the App Store or in-app.
9. Changes and contact
We may update these terms; the effective date is shown above. Questions — tgstartup@icloud.com.
